Inspiration and Enjoyment

This was a very brilliant production, which made a very enjoyable young evening. Plus considering this story goes on for quite a while whilst watching from the 'front circle' area where you are on you are feet the whole time, it takes a lot to keep your avid attention as stamina and tiredness can kick in! But this old classic/modern production performed a great rhythm of entertainment in reflection.

These digital images i re-sketched based from an image i fished out of the original montage sequence i produced.

This is a montage i produced which animates and recreates a moving images like affect of little Zac in a series of still photos i

 captured with a slr digital camera.

Here's a collection of work in still image taken from a verity of digital and manual media processes i.e. photography, print, drawing/sketching, painting, collage, sculpture and so on..)

Yet although some images may relate to one another (or not) i am finding it interesting that how even the process of 'recording' these images by various forms of media gives the image a unique identity one from its original form to then share a fresh creative destination!

I love Van Gough's work. His life is fanscinating, full of hardship, passion, creation and genious.

I think the lyrics to "Vincent" by Don McLean are very profound and in my mind accurate in portraying the troubled mind which produced such magical and outstanding paintings...

Starry starry night paint your palette blue and grey look out on a summer's day with eyes that know the darkness in my soul.

Shadows on the hills sketch the trees and the daffodils catch the breeze and the winter chills in colors on the snowy linen land.

And now I understand what you tried to say to me how you suffered for your sanity how you tried to set them free.

They would not listen they did not know how perhaps they'll listen now.

Starry starry night flaming flo'rs that brightly blaze swirling clouds in violet haze reflect in Vincent's eyes of China blue.

Colors changing hue morning fields of amber grain weathered faces lined in pain are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.

And now I understand what you tried to say to me how you suffered for your sanity how you tried to set them free. perhaps they'll listen now.

For they could not love you but still your love was true and when no hope was left in sight on that starry starry night.

You took your life as lovers often do; But I could have told you Vincent this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.

Starry starry night portraits hung in empty halls frameless heads on nameless walls with eyes that watch the world and can't forget.

Like the stranger that you've met the ragged men in ragged clothes the silver thorn of bloddy rose lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.

And now I think I know what you tried to say to me how you suffered for your sanity how you tried to set them free.

They would not listen they're not list'ning still perhaps they never will.

It's always worth showing more Van Gough paintings, they're fantastic

This production 'The Lion King" is truely spectacular in every way. The costumes are amazing let alone the acting and singing!

I loved this production of Cabaret...i also loved that 3 people walked out of the show after the first 5 minutes due to nudity!!!

I really like the style of the iconic art, allbeit designed to advertise the film not stage show!

In brief, Metamorphosis tells the story of Gregor Samsa, who one day wakes up as a giant vermin. While Gregor attempts to come to terms with his transformation, his family tries to live with him, or rather around him, for he is largely ignored and slowly almost forgotten. As Gregor diminishes in both spirit and memory, the family thrives, at which point the autumn performance concluded in an ending that was described as both poignantly exquisite, high kitsch, astonishingly sad and extraordinarily breathtaking.. The use of light and the main character's body was truely art in this production. The man made himself transform in to bug...lighting and shadow played a massive part in conveying the metamorphosis.

I went to John Lee Bird's "Before Encore"
Exhibition about a year ago. The paintings are
done on a massive scale and are absolutely
captivating in a way i never expected!

The evening contained singing, dancing, wine,

a fashion show...strange but i loved it!
